Well, one of the world's greatest strikers really meant what he said
above. Squad strength wise Liverpool were always lagging behind the top
guns like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. We had reliability in
the name of Xabi Alonso, sheer brilliance in the name of Luis Suarez and
of course the powerhouse Fernando Torres. The man above has always been
one of a kind. He has been criticized for all the wrong reasons. You
need to be a Liverpool Supporter to understand the weight of his
contribution for the club. He has motivated young stars from being a 19
year old pass out from academy to become a world class player. He has
helped a half dead team to wake up from a disaster and win a trophy as
important and big as the Champions League. He has sacrificed a career
full of trophies and accolades just to be a part of something which he
has been worshiping since his childhood days. Now that he is leaving,
leaving for good, that willingness to win a football game wearing the
famous red jersey will be missed. Ladies and gentlemen, Steven Gerrard.

Rock and Soul
it was the springtime
we were in our high school
we met each other very soon
the best of our times began
we were a group of three
there was no one who would agree
that rock is the way of life
and it was our tangible soul
we were ready to rock
and we were ready to fight
no support yet we stood strong
cuz we always loved to rock
we tried the robert plants
we spread the roger waters
we idolized the jimmy pages
we performed the ian gillans
our songs remained unheard
as we sang deep purple
the response never let us down
here we are ready to rock again
we are ready to rock
and we are ready to fight
we shall stand strong
cuz we always love to rock

Cold and Damp
in two day's time i'll be gone
across the cold blue sea
waving to the light blue sky
i'll miss the bright sunrise
i've reached an old town
and it's very cold out here
it's lonely and all i can hear
is the sound of cold and damp
the lush green field will miss me
the trees will cry silently
dogs will bark and cows will moo
someday i'll meet all of you
i've reached an old town
and it's very cold out here
it's lonely and all i can hear
is the sound of cold and damp
i roam around the town
with time and hope by my side
the night's getting colder
my eyes are tired as well
i've reached an old town
and it's very cold out here
it's lonely and all i can hear
is the sound of cold and damp
across the cold blue sea
waving to the light blue sky
i'll miss the bright sunrise
i've reached an old town

The Blizzard
just when you enjoy season's first snow
laugh at each other in happiness
comes the demon faking the blue sky
you wish you were home with your family
the blizzard is an expert in the masquerade
it comes hurling down like a devil
tears down everything that comes in her way
unleashes her fiendish plans to clear
chaos and panic in every block
everyone rushes back home
no one knows what's in store
the blue sky becomes lifeless
the blizzard is an expert in the masquerade
it comes hurling down like a devil
tears down everything that comes in her way
unleashes her fiendish plans to clear
few brave ones will stand and watch
as the monster shows no mercy at all
it brings down the naked trees
rips off the cable wires
the blizzard is an expert in the masquerade
it comes hurling down like a devil
tears down everything that comes in her way
unleashes her fiendish plans to clear
the blizzard is the wizard of destruction
it is bright and deceitful
it is bright and deceitful
it is bright and deceitful
laugh at each other in happiness

Across the streets
Verse 1
the night is long and i need to sleep
the dust swarms gently around my face
it's getting dark and it's getting too late
the day went fine and yesterday's no longer mine
chorus
the wind breeze is getting wild as hours pass by
across the streets i stare with no tension to bear
the somber gaze of streetlights runs over my face
as i laugh at the mulish nature of loneliness
verse 2
midnight is starting to roll around pretty well
now the stars seem to shine and the moon looks fine
not a single sound, as if everyone is out of town
i love the way how the sky looks at me with a frown
chorus
the wind breeze is getting wild as hours pass by
across the streets i stare with no tension to bear
the somber gaze of streetlights runs over my face
as i laugh at the mulish nature of loneliness
bridge
i keep a cold watch on the bizarre nature
the stars no longer shine and the moon is crying
i keep my eyes wide open as the sun pops out
birds start to chirp and i was awake the whole night
chorus
the wind breeze is getting wild as hours pass by
across the streets i stare with no tension to bear
the somber gaze of streetlights runs over my face
as i laugh at the mulish nature of loneliness

The French Mandate
Segregation of ottoman empire
the devastation of world war
incessant loss of democracy
the embodiment of french mandate
french summoned to contest
and demand syrian recognition
procreation and jurisdiction
were now in their hands
for the league of nations
approved the excerpts of
the embodiment of french mandate
power to islam was revoked
majority sought for independence
while a few were in support
for the support was traditional
crisis came hand in hand
with nationalists of damuscus
and druze rebels forming allies
french position of control
put at stake by the disdainful
group of triumphant nationalists
incoherent franco-syrian treaty
negotiations were made
executed in the national bloc
syrian democracy and independence
foreign policy consultation
priority of french mandate
all were due in no time
all of syria but lebanon
incorporated with military bases
beureucrats ratified the treaty
while the french tackled the turks
they formed a significant part
soon the turks enjoyed autonomy
french dominion was stern
ratification was never a choice
adjournment was inevitable
Steven George Gerrard - My Idol
I remember the young confident lad making his way out of the tunnel only to warm the substitute bench. It was 29th November, 1998, a legend was born in the name of Steven George Gerrard as he made his way on to the pitch wearing the famous red shirt. After that everything is history. You have given me enough reasons to enjoy my childhood. I could not hold my tears back when you decided to call it quits.
A very emotional day indeed. My childhood idol is going to leave my favorite club. It has been a dream come true watching Steven Gerrard give his everything for the club. I always tried to imitate him and he is one of the reasons why I am crazy about football. There will be new/wannabe football fans mocking him for his slip against chelsea or may be his failure to win a premier league medal but people who have followed him since the early days of Gerard Houlier understand what a legend he is. Liverpool were never favorites to win the premier league let alone the champions league yet Steven Gerrard decided to stay with the club he loves and give its fans something to cheer for. I am afraid we would never have someone as great as steven gerrard at liverpool. All the raheems and the rossiters and the flanagans will either fade away or leave the club for a better salary. That number 8 in a liverpool shirt will be missed. If I ever get a chance to go to anfield, I won't be seeing that red shirt with no 8 written at the back, trying to pump the half dead players with confidence. Thank You Steven Gerrard for everything.

Succubus
How you appear in my dreams
Demonic presence while i sleep
Oh! Temptress of the night
Supernatural pretty girl
Attacks me in my sleep
Oh! The slayer of lust
The pain that i feel
Morning becomes dark
Oh! You serpentine
Leave the innocent alone
Don't lure the fragile heart
You cause excruciating pain
Limbs go stiff and organs die
Oh! Temptress of the night
Venomous seduction
Enchanting eye sight
Love making medieval creature
Oh! Temptress of the night
Behold your quest for lust

"Yes, I'm a woman. I have breast and a cleavage, you got a problem?" - Deepika Padukone
Girls these days are pretty much society oriented. They are too concerned about what the society might think of them or their actions. Not only girls, I have often come across guys even older than me who are reluctant to do something which they want to, eventually back out because "the society does not approve". I say, fuck your society. You want to have a tattoo? You want to wear something that makes you look cool or let me put it this way, it makes you feel better? You want to flash your tits in public? Do whatever you feel like. Do not fucking care. None of those from your society pays any of your bills.
"It is not a part of our culture". This is the same boring stuff I had been digesting for most of my life. Who creates this culture you are talking about? Did it just fall from the sky? Or is it a group of imbeciles that is responsible for our much outdated culture? P.S - Flashing tits in public is definitely not something cool or in vogue. Girls in iraq and other "uncultured" countries protest rape attempts in a way that leaves a mark on the criminal's mind for ever. Girls(most) in India hide in their mama's closet because "that guy has a tattoo and long hair". Self defense is the best defense and in our country it is probably the last weapon to be used. The education system in our country is trying its best to create a handful of bots that can be controlled only by a remote. These dumbfucks eventually go on to represent the country in certain events.

The Syrian Uprising
As I had promised to come back to The Syrian Crisis. Excerpt II.
Altruistic debacle to say the least
irreproachable civilians on the streets
armless they are, butchered mercilessly
dire footprint on adjoining kingdoms
millions of Syrians snivel
seek for justice and squeal for help
System's vicious crackdown
as everyone was taken aback
Tranquil protests were at halt
rebels clashed against system's ideas
Syrians were armless no more
began the assault-an act of intrepidity
Islamism and secularists became misnomers
two million martyrs, one indiscreet idea
internal displacement of innocent lives
refugees at every corner
refugees escaped across the borders
young men abducted to fight for regime
Nights became bloody and catastrophic
civilians were often shot at by snipers
Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq are home to many
for they might break under excruciating strain
children, women and old-none of them were
a count of demise increasing every year
the unrest state of the Syrian uprising
still agitates the rest of the kingdom
